KastKing Triton 3000 reel

This was my first time using a KastKing brand reel and believe me, I was beyond impressed with how it performed. Normally I fish with either a Newel, or PENN. I wanted a new spinner and recently my father purchased me a Open Angler Reel which I did not much care for, but still use it and have. So I was looking forward to see how a KastKing would compare to my other reels that I have. I as well fished in both fresh and saltwater while on vacation, and have not had an opportunity to test this rod & reel in salt water yet.

I had the opportunity to check out the Triton 3000 reel and I set it up on my Ugly Stick fishing rod. I as well used Berkley Trilene line in 8 lb test , and then went Trout fishing with my father on the White River here in Arkansas. Since it had rained, and the river was up, we did not catch anything, other then testing out the spinner, I wanted a chance more to see what it could really do, so this past weekend, my son and I went to one of the local fishing lakes to try our luck at some crappie and catfish. .

I am glad we did :) The reel itself is super smooth, and has a smooth action when it is being put to the test. It's light weight, and you are able to set the drag perfectly with the use of the dial. The handle has a nice grip as well. We ended up catching 6 catfish that day, and overall, I was super impressed how the KastKing handled. I will now be purchasing all of my spinning reels from KastKing, because the quality is outstanding!
